At Red Fern Farm we offer strictly pasture boarding on our 65 acre property, protected by 3-rail wood and electric fencing. In addition to the pasture, the horses are provided with free feed hay year round. We find that the horses couldn't be happier or healthier with the ability to eat, drink, roam, and socialize 24/7.
Keeping it Comfy in the Barn
Our barn is beautifully designed to give boarders a relaxing environment to enjoy their equine partners. We offer:
Heat and air conditioning for year round climate control
Grooming stalls and cross ties
Heated indoor wash rack and additional outdoor water access
Tack storage in our shared tack room (included) or private tack locker (additional cost)
Grain and supplement storage
Full bathroom with washer and dryer
Living room, game room, and indoor viewing area
All Inclusive Supplies
Our approach to boarding is that every horse deserves the best possible care. Therefore, we provide basic necessities for all boarders to use at no additional cost. We provide:
Bathing and grooming supplies
Basic medical necessities such as topical wound treatment, fungal spray, liniment, etc.
Training and lunging equipment
Tack cleaner and conditioner
Fly spray and mane and tail spray
*Grain, additional supplements, and blankets are not provided by the stable as each horse has different individual needs
Hands On Training Approach
We require all horses boarded at RFF to have a minimum of 2 training contacts (rides or lessons) per week. Our philosophy is that the horses are happier and healthier when they are in a regular riding and exercise program, and happy horses make happy riders! Enjoy the decades of expertise our professional trainers offer and improve your riding skills or bring your horse to the next level. Whether your riding goals are competitive, or you want to simply enjoy your horse, we believe that good movement and communication feels good to everyone!
Variety in Riding Space
Our facility includes a 60x 150 outdoor riding arena with sand footing, 60 x 130 lighted indoor riding arena with sand footing, large outdoor grass jumping field, and direct access to quiet country roads that are perfect for hacking out and conditioning rides on the hills. Our indoor arena is treated with Arena Clear, an environmentally friendly, horse-safe dust suppressant for waterless, dust-free riding year round.
Rates:
$400/month pasture board (includes free fed hay)
Private tack locker (optional): $50/month
We have a requirement for all boarders to be involved in the training program through lessons or training contacts a minimum of 2x per week. Lessons and training contacts are interchangeable, and priced at $50/contact.
