Red Fern Farm offers a unique opportunity for students to work in exchange for lessons!  Kim grew up in the Chicagoland area, where it was not financially possible for her to own a horse.  She would not have been able to ride much at all if it weren't for the work opportunity offered to her by a stable that specialized in training and re-selling horses.  She rode young, untrained, or problem horses in exchange for lessons, and wouldn't be the rider she is today if it weren't for those experiences and the generosity of the trainer.  Today, she provides the same opportunity for advanced students that are not able to afford to ride often.  Kim believes anyone that is willing to work hard deserves the chance to pursue their passion!
